Relocation is a people business and your Star Move service providers recognize that identifying special needs is just the beginning of ensuring a great move.

Step 1

Identifying your special needs… Star’s Personal Relocation Counselors will discuss your future relocation to establish the dates of your move, determine requirements such as custom crating, temporary storage, and automobile transportation. *At this point, please make sure to discuss with your Personal Relocation Counselor any special requests that will help us meet your expectations.

 

Step 2

Your Personal Relocation Counselor will schedule appointments at your home with our experienced Certified Moving Consultants who represent our best-in-class moving companies.

During this survey process, our representatives will determine the size and cost of your move and arrange for any other additional services you may require. *At this point, please make sure to discuss any special concerns and point out valuable family heirlooms and antiques. It is also important to review the list of items that are not allowed for movers to transport, which will be provided at this time.

 

Step 3

Move & Cost Analysis... During this pre-planning stage of your move, your Personal Relocation Counselor will review the estimated weight, packing and crating requirements, insurance coverages, and the estimated costs for your move. Star’s Personal Relocation Counselors are experienced in reviewing competitive bids and will make sure that you understand the estimated cost before selecting a moving company. *At this point, please discuss any changes or additions in your requested services as they may affect your total moving expenses.

 

Step 4

The move process begins… You have now selected your moving company and Star’s Personal Relocation Counselor will now coordinate and confirm your dates for packing, loading, and delivery to your new home. Star’s Personal Move Counselor will be monitoring each phase of your move to ensure your complete satisfaction. *At this point, if there are any additional destination services that you may require such as appliance connections, unpacking, or maid services, please discuss this with your Personal Relocation Counselor.

 

Step 5

With the conclusion of your move, your Personal Relocation Counselor will make contact with you within 72 hours after delivery to discuss our performance and ask that you complete a service evaluation form. *At this point, should there be any damage claims during your move, please discuss this with your Personal Relocation Counselor who will assist in providing claims settlement forms.
